Do not be ashame,
Shame the difficulties
Arise to the truth of unity
Make it known with a bold pen


Arise o! patriots
Forget not the days of our fathers
Forget not your true origin
Hope restored to the margins,
Green leaves whispering into the air


The cocoyam will beat the drum
He will ask the river to provide the wine.
At this point of celebration,
Forget not the days of our fathers


Hopeful they were,
Saying; God bless Nigeria
Though thoughtful to say
