I close my eyes to darkness
Close to you I am sure
Those bold elbows,
They are strong
Strong enough to keep me away
Away from danger.

Those promises of you being there always
At the end my children and I
Are left in the cold.

To the street,
The street , children, empty,
Cries , naked , hungry ,uneducated.
They turn to thugs
