The conversation we had last night got me tipsy
I refuse to succumb to your plea
Because my love for the country still stands,
And I will not allow you betray the country.
In every village we begged for forgiveness
But bitterness had eaten deep into the hearts of the children left in the huts
It is only normal to right wrongs committed
But to be fast enough less we carry our intentions six feet
I refuse to betray my country out of greed
I owe my country love
For if love disappears from me
I refuse to call myself a patriotic citizen
